GWI cumple 103 años y su trabajo
está centrado en el ODS4: Garantizar una educación inclusiva, equitativa y de
calidad y promover oportunidades de aprendizaje durante toda la vida para todos.
Estos objetivos hay que
expandirlos por todos los países y trabajar con inversores globales de las
oficinas de la ONU en los diferentes países. Para ello el Steering Committee va
a trabajar con el Members Committee y estudiar qué dirección hay que tomar para:
1. Investigar
la implementación del ODS4 en áreas con carencias para estructurar la ayuda.
2. GWI
debe trabajar conjuntamente con las Federaciones Nacionales, Agencias de la
ONU y financiamiento internacional.
3. Necesidades
prioritarias:
a.
GWI tiene que ayudar a las Federaciones
Nacionales a aumentar el número de socias
b.
GWI tiene que enseñar a las Federaciones
Nacionales lo que significa compartir proyectos sobre el ODS con las Agencia de
la ONU (programa “Train the trainer”)
Las jóvenes no muestran mucho
interés por hacerse socias porque carecen de tiempo y para atraerlas hay que
mostrarles el valor añadido que asociarse supondría para sus vidas con el
programa “desarrollo de capacitación y liderazgo globales” basado en el hecho
de que todas las jóvenes universitarias necesitan adquirir conocimientos.
Una oferta clave para las jóvenes
será el entrenamiento en la comprensión de los datos invisibles de la economía
que afectan sus vidas diariamente que les ayudará a saber cómo buscar el mejor
puesto de trabajo y construir carreras de éxito.
Todo lo anterior enseña a las
mujeres a comprender los hechos que las rodean y las ayuda a tomar decisiones
que cambiarán sus vidas.
El trabajo conjunto entre
Federaciones-GWI-Agencias ONU y Financiadores dará una gran fortaleza y una rendición
de cuentas adecuada.
Vivimos en un mundo que cambia a
gran velocidad. Debemos avanzar en una nueva cultura de trabajo y logros y
crear un nuevo estándar de excelencia que defina lo que es el éxito: Si
trabajamos juntas los logros serán mucho mayores porque el poder colectivo es
más grande.
Con la colaboración de todas
nosotras los mejores días están aún por delante de nosotras.
El programa “Train the trainers”
se hace en grupos de 30 y se hará con distintos miembros de las Federaciones
para concienciarlos de cómo desarrollar una estrategia de captación de socias.
La fórmula para
atraer a las jóvenes se hace:
. Con el Young Members
Network
. A través de
colegios profesionales
. Contactando a
las agencias ONU de cada país.
RENEW AND REBUILD
GWI is 103 years old and its work is focused on SDG4: Ensure
inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning
opportunities for all.
These goals need to be expanded to all countries and work
with global investors from local UN Agencies. To this end, the Steering
Committee will work with the Members Committee to study the direction to be
taken to:
1. Research implementation of SDG4 with gap areas to structure aid.
2. GWI should work together with National Federations, UN
Agencies and global funders.
3. Top needs:
a. GWI needs
to help National Federations to recruit members.
b. GWI needs
to teach National Federations what it means to share SDG projects with UN
Agencies ("Train the trainer" program).
Young women do not show much interest in becoming members
because they lack time. To attract them we need to show them the added value
that membership would add to their lives with the "global capacity
building and leadership development" program based on the fact that all
young university girls need to build knowledge.
A key offer for new members will be training in
understanding the invisible facts of global
economy that affect their lives on a daily basis. This will help them to know
how to find the best job and build successful careers.
All of the above teaches women to understand the facts
around them and help them make life-changing decisions.
The joint work between Federations-GWI-UN Agencies and
Global Funders will give great strength and proper accountability.
We live in a rapidly changing world. We must move forward
creating a new culture of work and accomplishment. We need to create a new
standard of excellence that defines what success is: If we work together the accomplishments
will be much bigger because the collective power is biggerreater.
With the collaboration of all of us the best days are still
ahead of us.
The "Train the trainers" program is done in groups
of 30 and will be done with different members of the Federations to make them
aware of how to develop a membership recruitment strategy.
